Scott Scherr founded Ultimate Software in 1990 and has served as president and CEO since the company’s inception. Scott founded Ultimate Software with the goal of continuously innovating and striving for product excellence — the “ultimate software” for HR and payroll professionals — and he has continued to lead the organization with passion and dedication for more than 20 years.
Marc Scherr has been part of Ultimate Software since its formation, and currently serves as the company’s chief operating officer, managing and driving the organization’s operational performance. In addition, he serves as vice chairman and plays a crucial role in developing and coordinating Ultimate Software’s strategy and vision.
Since 1996, Mitch Dauerman has brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Ultimate Software’s executive team — providing more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. As chief financial officer, he is responsible for managing the organization’s finances and administration.
Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President of Product Development
Adam Rogers serves as Ultimate Software's chief technology officer, overseeing the company's product strategy, development, and delivery via cloud computing. Adam joined Ultimate more than 14 years ago, and since 2002, he has led the company in its pioneering efforts to deliver HR and payroll solutions via Software-as-a-Service.
Vivian Maza has served as chief people officer at Ultimate Software since 2004. Before this, Vivian served as Ultimate’s office manager since the company’s inception in 1990. As chief people officer, Vivian fosters Ultimate’s unique and highly recognized company culture by inspiring employees to continuously support and practice Ultimate’s core values. Prior to joining Ultimate, she was a systems analyst for the wholesale division of ADP.
Since joining Ultimate Software in 1994, Greg Swick has held various management positions in the sales organization. Since 2000, he has served as Ultimate’s chief sales officer. Before joining Ultimate, Greg held various positions with ADP, where the most recent position was area vice president of ADP’s dealer services division.
Chris Phenicie currently serves as chief sales officer for Ultimate's Workplace division and has held that position since 2009. Previously, Chris held various positions in Ultimate’s Sales organization, beginning in 2000 as a strategic account manager.
Chief Information Officer and VP of Shared Services
Bill Hicks serves as Ultimate Software’s chief information officer and vice president of shared services. Bill oversees a wide range of areas at Ultimate, including corporate technology, learning services, payment services, and shared services. Bill has served as CIO since 2004, overseeing Ultimate’s award-winning IT team.
Jon Harris has served as Ultimate Software’s chief services officer of Enterprise Services since 2007. Jon has played a pivotal role in achieving and maintaining Ultimate’s superior reputation for outstanding customer service.
